DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION STATEMENT
The Inland Empire Contemporary Ballet, Inc. takes pride in living up to our mission; to realize a world where people from all demographics are embraced as equal members of society in every community. IECB takes pride in the fact that we fully represent the diversity of the performing arts community through our people, programs, values and priorities. Unfortunately, since the beginning of artistic expression, many from various aspects of life, especially people of color have long felt marginalized within the dance community. Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) have given us historical contributions to the performing arts while being ignored, diminished, forgotten, with their current needs and priorities not taken into account. It is our responsibility to make sure no one will ever feel marginalized within the Inland Empire Contemporary Ballet, Inc. We will continue to advocate for those within not just the dance community but, the community we are surrounded by. With our diverse staff, performers, students, volunteers and Board of Directors, we take pride in upholding our commitment towards equality for all. We take pride in knowing that we treat racial equity and inclusion as a cornerstone of our work. Our leadership will continue to reflect the great diversity of the performing arts community. Since our inception, we have continuously been open for conversations that deepen our understanding about race, racism, implicit bias and how it impacts our community and our organization. We pledge to give a voice to everyone, especially the BIPOC & LGBTQIA communities while maintaining a safe environment free of hateful policies and rhetoric that threaten to undermine our basic fundamental rights to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and artistic expression.
Our repertoire includes; "The Little Mermaid"The Tale of Snow White" & timeless classic's such as...
"Coppelia", "The Firebird Ballet Suite", & "The Nutcracker", all to SOLD OUT audiences!
